I know. No one ever wants to see or hear a friend that's in a heat of gun fire. There wouldn't be a choice though. The army is good money and one day I'm going to have a family of my own and I need the money to support them. Plus if I do die and I have a family they'll be taken care of for the rest of their lives with a high lif insurance that'll be put on me.
It's hard to take I know but I have no say in the matter if I want to keep my job in the Army.
