Hey, everybody. I'm new (apologies for stating the obvious), and glad I finally found a decent RE board. They're hard to come by (that, or I'm google search deficient). My name is Mary and I've been a fan of Resident Evil since the 2nd movie came out on DVD. That's mostly because, well, the movies drove me to the games. So say what you will about them, but they hold a dear place in my heart because without them, I'd never have started playing. Anyway, I'm a big fan of fan made things about RE, like music videos and the like, and I like to read the fiction when I come across something decent, but....I can't always find decent stuff in that department, either. So yeah. Glad to be here and hope to see you all around.

Welcome. I'm Spartan198, global mod. If you've any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
But unfortunately this place is pretty dead as of late. Repeated hacker attacks have been wreaking havoc on it.

Welcome. And feel free to start some new topics or post in some old ones to help with the death. >.> And I don't hate the RE movies, though I do think they went a little far with the last one, saying everything basically died.

Hacking? Ahhh. That's what happened with the last RE board I was on. What is it with RE boards and getting hacked??? I'll give you that, yes. The last Resident Evil movie wasn't very good at all, actually. Thanks for the welcome, everybody. I'm gonna try and read through all the topics and post a bit.

I wish I knew what it was with the hackers, but I don't... they do tend like Proboards though... From what I've gathered when trying to correct the problems the hackers have caused here, it seems that Proboards has some kind of weakness in it's security that makes it easy to hack. This is the reason I never use Proaboards to make my sites.
I do have to agree that the last RE movie wasn't the best out of the three they have done, but if you think about it, the scenario they depicted was most likely what would have happened. The Tvirus is unlike most viruses in that it can infect everything, from plants to humans. That makes it exceptionally virulent. Since it can infect all living things, the spreading of it would quickly go from just one small town, like Raccoon City to the rest of the world rather quickly. So before you knew it, the whole world would be infected.

Yeah but wasn't it meant for blood transfusion so it wouldn't last long in the air would it? But then again that's really all it takes...

It went from an airborne to a bodily fluid type of transmission relatively quickly. Once one human or animal made it outside the mansion the die was cast. The unquenchable thirst for "food" would cause any and all things infected to seek out "fresh meat". And with it being able to infect across all species, it wouldn't take very long for it to take over like it did in the movie.
