And yes despite it being way to hot in the sun hours and being way to cold in the night hours the desert does seem like a fairly safe place from zombies. Guess we'll just have to find ourselves a nice inhabited little cave then huh? But then again it would seem like a good idea to not stay in one place for long... Yes I think it would be pretty safe. Zombies would naturally be drawn to more populated areas just for the fact that their favorite food is "Long Pork" (Slang term for humans that are eaten by cannibals because cannibals say that humans taste like pork... ) and there aren't many humans in the desert... However, I think I'd take an uninhabited cave to live in, I don't want to share my living space with a zombie bear...

Safest would probably be following these guys around.

Yeah it probably would be.
And sorry...I meant uninhabited...But do you think it'd be better to stay in one area like the uninhabited cave? Or stay in one place for a little bit then keep moving.

Safest would probably be following these guys around. Yea it most likely would be, unless they are controlled by an entity like Umbrella.... Then it might not be so healthy to do so... Yeah it probably would be. And sorry...I meant uninhabited...But do you think it'd be better to stay in one area like the uninhabited cave? Or stay in one place for a little bit then keep moving. I think at the beginning it would be a wise move to keep moving. Then once they start dieing off or are killed off you would be able to stay put for longer periods. But until most are gone a nomadic life would most likely be the best bet.

Well, in the above case, it's the 101st Airborne Division's 3rd Brigade Combat Team, so I think we'd all be just fine with them. But, of course, that also flashes me back to an episode of Jericho I watched yesterday where, after weeks of isolation following the bombs, the "US Marines" (complete with a tank) suddenly arrive in town and it's revealed later in the episode that they're being less than truthful...

Well when it comes to our military and government, I think it would be best not to be too trusting. They don't exactly have a reputation for being truthful and honest...

Now poses the question if you'd be safer with the military or on you own. Just trying to keep things goin I guess.

There is indeed safety in numbers most times, but this is one time that I wonder if it wouldn't be safer on your own or with a small group. I would think a large group of people would have a higher likelihood of attracting the zombies, being we are basically their whole diet.

I would think a large group of people would have a higher likelihood of attracting the zombies, being we are basically their whole diet. In both cases, it would depend on how organized and how well-defended said group is. Smaller, better-organized groups have defeated larger, less-organized groups just about all through history. Look at the Battle of Plataea in 479 BC, for example, where a force of 100,000 Persians were soundly defeated by an army of only 30,000 Greeks. And the Battle of Gaugamela, where an army of 45,000 Greeks under Alexander III defeated a 93,000-strong Persian army. In both cases the Greeks were better organized and better trained than the Persians, yet smaller in number.

That's true. In reality though I think I'd have to go with the military. Unless I find a good organized group. I have no upper body strength and have poor gun knowledge...though If I go with a military group that large they probably wont teach me how to use a gun, were as if I go to a small group I would.

That is why you get something that shoots many, many bullets very quickly... You don't need much knowledge to pull a trigger, and with those types of weapons you are bound to hit something... Hopefully not anyone that isn't zombified... The only thing that really concerns me about going with a larger group would be as I stated earlier, that it might draw the zombies to you....

If a person isn't adept at using a firearm in single-shot form, he/she would risk harming themself or or others with a selective-fire firearm. It takes considerable skill to efficiently employ a fully-automatic weapon. You have to learn to counteract recoil and muzzle rise, for one thing. And not to mention our immediate human instinct to drop anything that "jumps". You also spelled zombified wrong.

That's why I hope there isn't a zombie outbreak. I'd more than likely end up dead. I don't really have knowledge on any weapon. I guess I'll just follow Spartan around.

That is if you wish to hit what you are aiming at.... But still, if you were alone and had to choose between a single shot weapon or one that could fire many bullets, I'd say your chances are better with the machine gun... You also spelled zombified wrong. Yes I did, my long nails strike again...
