Just out of curiousity do you think it's a good idea for just you two to be running the site and the other monitoring? It seems like a lot of work without help.

Actually due to not a whole lot of activity it isn't really difficult to maintain the site. Even for an extremely busy board it really isn't a good idea to have too many people with access to the boards control panels, whether it be moderator or administrator controls. The more people that have access the more likely it is for things to go wrong when or if someone becomes upset with the site.

No not really. The hardest part about running a forum is setting it up and getting things the way you want them and getting members. That is where all the work lies. Otherwise it's a rather easy thing to do. The only time it gets troublesome is if you have a member that is wreaking havoc or someone hacks it. It doesn't take long to glance at all the new posts and make sure they are in the right forums and that none are blatantly breaking the rules etc. Even for an extremely large board it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Thanks you guys, you are all very sweet. As I said, most problems on a site usually revolve around trolls and spammers... And nipping them in the bud is the only way to deal with those kinds of people. You have to have clear rules that you enforce consistently. When you run a forum, whether your own or for someone else, you have a responsibility to your members to ensure they are safe and secure on your site. This means no trolls or spammers.

Yea I'm a stickler when it comes to manners. I really despise rude people and in the end all a spammer or troll is, is a rude person. I guess I'm odd that way, but I am quite a bit older than most on the site and I was raised in the old school fashion. Meaning you are respectful to your elders and you treat others in the fashion you wish to be treated in and be considerate of others feelings. Too bad so many don't seem to have the appropriate "home schooling" that they should....
