No, that's most likely bad. Our economy is in the shitter right now.
And one of the few Bush decisions that could actually help this country (the bail-out plan) gets outvoted.
D**n politicians...

^ Oh dear. On a happier side note the CD I complained nowwhere sold.. turns out HMV sell CD singles on a teeny tiny little stand in the back of the shop hidden behind books and PS2 games. So I am now the proud owner of the first Boyzone single in nearly 10 years. Now I'll be darn annoyed if they dont do well in the charts and I bought their single and limited edition CD album for nothing..oh and their £37 pound concert tickets. Its quite apt I feel that their single is called Love You Anyway .. because even though I now have no money i do still love them anyway! See what I did there Im very excited.

I personally was hoping it would be out voted. Why should tax payer money go to bail out companies who are failing due to their own crooked ways. Why should I have to pay for some executives yacht?
What makes me angry is beady eyed Bush signs that bill before the ink is dry on it, yet the unemployment bill took almost 5 months for him to sign. A bill that was needed by many because Bush and his cronies have made it more profitable for companies to move out of the US than to stay. My husband has been laid off for almost a year now. There aren't any jobs available, even fast food jobs are becoming scarce because people with real skills are forced to flip burgers so that the rich can get richer.
Bush and his cronies are responsible for the state of our economy and once again it is going to be the little guy who pays the most and is hurt the most by it. Why not make the rich fix the problem for once? Give us hard working middle class people a chance to breathe.

The economy has been on the down slide ever since Bush took office. When he took office, we had a surplus... Within one year we were in a multi billion dollar deficit. I agree that the economy is bad, but why should the tax payers have to bail out rich companies. You don't see the government helping the normal citizen when they have to file for bankruptcy, so why should they do so for big and rich companies? Let them fail and loose all as many normal citizens have. That bill hasn't helped anything. The markets are still falling. I heard it on the news this morning that Russia had to close their stock exchange because it was in a free fall. I just think they should not put the burden on the normal citizen. Since the problem was created by the crooked rich, the crooked rich should be the ones to fix it. Tax only them the extra that is needed. But you know that won't happen. The most burden will be placed on the normal guy who can hardly make a living now. Sure that would mean a possible depression, but we have lived through them before. I mean shoot most are already living in depression type settings now. I say it is high time that the rich fix their own problems, especially those of their own making. Our government needs to quit giving all kinds of breaks to the rich and powerful. What ever happened to a government for the people, by the people? Because that is not what we have now. We have a government for the rich and powerful, by the rich and powerful. And it is the normal citizen that suffers for it. Edit: Just heard this on the news. You know that big bail out... Well it seems that AIG used a huge portion of that money to throw themselves a huge party. Here is the link: AIG Bail Out Party[/color] It's so good to see our tax dollars paying for their parties....

It seems like the US situation sucks at the moment - you will have to forgive my ignorance on the subject but the UK is also having bank/credit/economic problems right now so i only know about that. I know my building society - where most of my savings are - just went bust and got nationalised...thats our governments answer nationalise them and have the taxpayers pay for them...
