RESIDENT EVIL: DESTRUCTION ____________________________________________________ NOTE: Sorry about double post, it's easier to manage and post whenever I get a new chapter up. ____________________________________________________
NEWS Ch. 5 Added: 8/15/08 Ch. 4 Added: 7/28/08 Ch. 3 Added: 7/6/08 Ch. 2 Added: 6/27/08 Intro&Ch.1 Added: 6/15/08 ____________________________________________________
Synopsis Resident Evil 2 and 3 take place in an area named, "Raccoon City". While the main characters of those games try and escape, this is yet another retelling of the story. A side never revealed before. It is the story of Kincaid Sanders, an army leader who is hiding in an office building when we first meet him. In order to survive the night, he must put all his training to the test. If he can't escape, he will face DESTRUCTION....
____________________________________________________ INTRO Raccoon City, a Midwestern town full of peace, that is until S.T.A.R.S Alpha and Bravo Team arrived at the Mansion in Raccoon Forest, then all Hell broke loose. After Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Barry Burton, and Rebecca Chambers managed to escape with their lives, they thought it was all over. But sadly, it had just begun. The Infected creatures of the Spencer Mansion escaped through the forest, and the Infection got into the sewer, contaminating the water supply, thus contaminating rats, and so fourth. Luckily, it never got air-borne, but it slowly spread through citizens, and the news had it up and running in hours. That was when the military sent all of its troops to quarantine the peaceful city. Luckily, it had some good troops but they were killed quickly, and the Government decided only one action could solve this problem, a missile that would destroy and erase everything in the mid-western town. Problem is, the Government knew that there were survivors, but only a few knew of the missile that would cause their impending doom. As Jill, Carlos, Claire, and Leon escaped from zombies, a group of army soldiers took shelter in an office building, thinking of their next move.

Chapter 1: Clean Up The couch made a loud thud as it was pushed up against the door. “We need to reinforce it more.” A soldier said. “Put anything you can in front of it.” Kincaid said. Kincaid Daniel Sanders was the leader of the remaining group of army soldiers left. He had been in the army for 3 years now, and was about to end it. He had managed to get the rest of his troop inside the office building, after someone threw a grenade. Kincaid decided to use it as cover. He knew somewhat of what was going on, but couldn’t believe it. Kincaid turned to Thomas Rogan, the newest member of the team who had arrived 4 days ago. “Any news on that map of yours?” Kincaid asked. Thomas looked at the map of the city, and then at one of the office. “This place crawls most likely.” Thomas said. Kincaid punched the nearest wall. “We have to get the hell out of here, we’re low on ammo.” Kincaid stated. “I agree, but at least we still have some ammo.” Thomas said. “I’m going to clear this building up as much as I can.” Kincaid said, brandishing his pistol. Kincaid hooked his Machine Gun around his torso, and loaded up his pistol just to be sure. He then pulled out his flashlight, made sure it had enough juice, and then checked the flashlight on his Machine Gun. “I have enough batteries for a couple of hours.” Kincaid said. “We’ll stay on the radio and make sure we know what’s going on.” Thomas said. “Good. Wish me luck.” Kincaid said.
The office building was packed with file cabinets, and Kincaid was happy the power was still on. He needed to save his batteries for the rest of the night. He quickly took cover below a cabinet, as he heard munching two doors over. He looked, and in front of a door was a zombie who was chewing on an arm. It ripped off a piece of flesh, and then stood up and walked for Kincaid. Kincaid quickly pulled out his knife, and stabbed. The zombie didn’t seem to notice. He then sliced for the neck, and blood spewed from it. Kincaid noticed it still refused to die, so he stabbed it where the brains would be. It died and fell to the floor. He picked up his radio. “Thomas? I just figured something out, you can kill them quicker if you hit them right in the brains.” Kincaid said. “Great, now we can save a few rounds.” Thomas said chuckling. “Let’s hope so.” Kincaid stated. Kincaid put away his radio, and heard moaning. He quickly looked farther, and saw 3 undead coming towards him. He pulled out his pistol in a combo with his knife, and fired 3 bullets, each going into the heads of the zombies. Blood oozed from their “dead” bodies, and Kincaid moved on.
Kincaid was passing a room when he heard screaming inside. He broke the door down with his foot, and the pain shot through his leg, he ignored it, as he saw a zombie coming near a woman. He aimed, but the zombie tore the woman’s neck skin off. He shot the zombie in the head, and ran over to the woman. “Apply pressure, quickly!” Kincaid yelled. The woman quickly bled to death. Kincaid shot a bullet through the wall, then stopped, remembering to save his rounds. He was about to leave when he saw the woman behind him. “You’re alive?” Kincaid asked. He then looked at the face, emotionless. He quickly put a bullet into the woman’s head. He then pulled out his radio. “Thomas? If someone is bitten, or the undead pass something onto that someone, they die, and turn into a zombie.” Kincaid said. “That doesn’t make any sense.” Thomas said. “I know, but check the team for wounds ok?” Kincaid asked. “Right away sir.” Thomas said. Kincaid then left the room.
When Kincaid was just outside the door to where the soldiers remained, his radio buzzed. “Kincaid? Johnson is bitten!” Thomas screamed. Kincaid kicked at the door, but it failed to budge. “Kill him now!” Kincaid asked. Kincaid could hear gunshots, but also a screech. He then kicked more and more at the door. “D**n! Thomas shoot him!” Kincaid yelled. A gunshot then came from the radio. Kincaid managed to break the door open after three more kicks, and looked at Thomas, the last survivor, with smoke coming from his Magnum. “Johnson bit everyone, they didn’t know what was going on.” Thomas said. “Did he get you?” Kincaid asked. “No, but I shot them all in the head.” Thomas stated. “All 3 of them?” Kincaid asked. “Yes.” Thomas stated again. “Get all the ammo you can, we’re moving into the streets.” Kincaid said. “What about water?” Thomas asked. “There’s a vending machine outside.” Kincaid stated. “I don’t have any quarters.” Thomas said. “Thomas, when the world is in peril I doubt a quarter will mean anything.” Kincaid said, looking at the dead bodies. “You don’t know the Government then.” Thomas said. Despite the fact that most of his team was killed Kincaid smiled, and then started to pack up the ammo. He had to stay strong, for his team. Then he chuckled again.

Thanks, here is Chapter 2.
Chapter 2: Streets of Infection Leaving the building, the stench of rotting flesh but in the air. Thomas covered his nose, but Kincaid just shook a bit. “Oh my god.” Thomas said. “You get used to it after smelling what I’ve smelled.” Kincaid stated. Thomas just shook his head like he understood, but he quickly jumped out of the way of an oncoming police car. Kincaid helped him up. “What the heck was that?” Kincaid asked aloud.
“Some police car, a man and woman were inside.” Thomas said. “You always notice stuff like that?” Kincaid asked. “Yes sir. My mom always said I could decipher just about anything. And I always paid attention in school.” Thomas said grinning.
The two had walked around for a bit, and finally came across a smoldering pile of bodies. “Looks like some humans did this.” Kincaid said. Thomas quickly looked at some of the faces. “They’re completely unrecognizable.” Thomas said. “Yeah I know. This is weird. Try and radio the tanks outside of the city.” Kincaid said to Thomas. Thomas nodded, and began to work on it.
“Listen we need an immediate evacuation.” Thomas said. “Sorry Rogan, but we are launching a clean sweep. The missile is coming in a few hours.” The voice said to Thomas. “What? But they’re living people still here!” Thomas said. Kincaid took the radio from Thomas. “Listen, there must be some way out of here.” Kincaid said. “You could try the Hospital, hopefully someone didn’t take that helicopter.” The voice said. “And if it is gone?” Kincaid asked. “Then there is a helicopter on the north-side of town. It is leaving in 2 to 3 hours. If you can get there, and providing you’re not infected, they might let you escape.” The receiver stated.
Kincaid stopped the radio transmission as he heard a groan, actually, 5 zombies groaning. He turned to his right, and saw the zombies walking towards them, Kincaid took aim, but they weren’t even close to coming near him. He then looked behind him, and saw Thomas aiming at another group. “Don’t tell me they think.” Kincaid said. “Well then how are they surrounding us?” Thomas asked. Thomas took off a head, but they kept on advancing. The two soldiers rushed into an alleyway, but some zombies were trying to get to them. Thomas quickly noticed a fire escape. “Kincaid, up there!” Thomas said, pointing to the fire escape.
Kincaid looked up, and motioned for Thomas to start climbing up. “I’ll follow.” Kincaid said. Kincaid pulled out his pistol, and took off some heads. He was carefully aiming, but the undead kept on advancing. “Now!” Thomas yelled. Kincaid jumped, and grabbed onto Thomas’s hand. He was pulled to the fire escape, and the zombies stood in place, looking at the two. Kincaid took off another head. “So much for thinking.” Kincaid said as a brain fell to the ground.
Thomas and Kincaid were wandering on rooftops, and trying to look for survivors. “Find anything?” Kincaid asked. “Nope, just some more of those zombies.” Thomas said. Then, the door to the roof opened, and a man came running out, followed by a fast running zombie. It was crimson, and blood spewed all over it. Kincaid quickly reacted, and launched a few bullets in it’s stomach. They went in, but nothing happened. The Crimson head then bit the man’s arm, but Thomas blew off its head, or at least a chunk of it. It proceeded to rip through the flesh, and then Kincaid kicked the creature away, and then blew its head off. Thomas rushed to the man. “Kincaid! There’s too much blood.” Thomas said. “Please help me.” The man said. Kincaid quickly shot the man in the head, then sat on the rooftop. It looked like he was about to break down. “You ok?” Thomas asked. “He was innocent. We’ll have to keep on doing this, but I don’t know. What if this disease spreads and hits everyone?” Kincaid asked. “You mean your wife?” Thomas asked. “Yeah. We have to figure out the cause of this.” Kincaid said. “I think I might know.” Thomas said. Kincaid stood up, and Thomas pulled out a book. “It might have been by Umbrella. Remember when S.T.A.R.S investigated that old mansion, and member Jill Valentine said that they faced undead? She was quick to blame Umbrella.” Thomas said.
Kincaid’s face lit up. “You’re right.” Kincaid said. “I am?” Thomas asked. “Yeah, there were rumors that there had been some strange rumblings underground. They probably have a base or lab there.” Kincaid said. “So we’re going underground?” Thomas asked. Kincaid looked at the streets. “No.”

Here's chapter 3.
Chapter 3: Raining Blood The two stood on the roof for a few minutes, looking down at the multiplying undead. “For every one we kill, two more seem to pop up.” Thomas said. Kincaid nodded in agreement and headed to the other side of the roof. “There’s a gas station over there.” Kincaid said. “So?” Thomas asked. “Well, we need to get to the hospital.” Kincaid said. “But god only knows what is in there.” Thomas said. “They were using the hospital as a quarantine zone, some people might be there, and that helicopter might be gone. If we can get a few survivors, we can leave via the hospital copter, or the one coming in a few hours.” Kincaid said. “So you do care about others?” Thomas asked. “I can’t let this thing spread out, if it does, we’re all dead. The world will die along with us.” Kincaid said. “Well then General. Let’s get the hell out of here.” Thomas said.
Kincaid and Thomas walked near the end of the roof, and looked down at the area between the two buildings. There were two creatures there, and Kincaid took them out with two Blacktail shots. He told Thomas to hold is position, and he slid down the ladder. He quickly covered to the right side of the wall, and made sure they had a clear path. He put his index and middle finger together, and motioned them downward. Thomas slid down the ladder, and took the other side of the wall, but a door opened behind Kincaid.
The General jumped back, and aimed his pistol at the door entrance, which was completely black. “Be ready.” Kincaid said. At that exact moment, a zombie burst from the darkness, and Thomas and Kincaid shot in unison, and the effect was the of a burst, and the zombie’s head was decimated. “Nice shooting.” Kincaid said. “Thanks.” Thomas said, switching his gun to Burst. Kincaid noticed this and said, “Good idea.”
When the group turned around the corner they noticed 3 zombies feeding on a body of a woman. “Help me.” The two could vaguely hear. Kincaid rushed forward, but the zombies just growled at him. “They’re telling you to get your own.” Thomas said in a dark tone. Kincaid smashed his boot into the face of one of the zombies, and then snapped another’s neck. The last one popped up behind him, but Thomas took it out with a Burst Round. “Nice shooting.” Kincaid said with a grim smile. Thomas quickly switched modes, and shot the head of the woman. Thomas stood perfectly still, most likely shocked by killing a woman in a second without hesitation. Thomas was frozen in place, not even blinking.
Kincaid walked over to Thomas. “You alright?” Kincaid asked. “Yeah Sanders.” Thomas said quickly, breaking out of his phase. Kincaid shook Thomas’s right arm a bit. “Come on, we have to move.” Kincaid said with a bad look on his face. Behind Thomas there were about 8 Undead. Behind Kincaid were 4. Kincaid turned to face his group, and Thomas faced his. “Be careful.” Kincaid said as he fired a bullet into the head of a zombie.
Thomas quickly put his gun back into Burst mode, and as he fired he took off two heads. Thomas then shot two more heads off. They were getting closer though, and Kincaid still had one more to go. Kincaid put it down with another single shot, and then turned to help Thomas. The two fired together twice, and the zombies were all dead again.
“Nice shooting.” Thomas said. “Thanks.”

The latest installment.
Chapter 4: Hot Wire The two needed to get to the hospital, and since they were tired of walking around what seemed like endless streets, they broke into a nearby S.W.A.T truck. “Thomas, think you can fiddle around with that?” Kincaid asked. “Sure thing. I’ll get right on it.” Thomas said. Kincaid stood guard outside the truck while Thomas messed with the steering wheel. Kincaid heard the engine spark to life, and went to the back of the truck.
He found an Asahi M-134A Vulcan Minigun, and picked it up. To the side of it were numerous ammos for guns, and Kincaid was about to hop into the passenger seat when he noticed 5 Crimson zombies behind the truck.
“Go Thomas!” Kincaid yelled. The engine started, and Kincaid was slammed into a corner of the back of the truck. He aimed the Vulcan, and fired off a few shots, they hit the Crimson monsters to the ground, but refused to make them stay down. Thomas made a sharp turn and Kincaid was flung into another corner. Now, a lizard like monster was chasing them. It was scaly, but stood like a human being and charged.
Kincaid knew this was probably something even tougher, and he took aim and launched the rest of the Vulcan round at the creature. It slammed right into it, but the monster hopped up, and landed right in front of Kincaid. It swung its claw, but Kincaid rolled and dropped the Vulcan on the truck’s floor. The “Licker” jumped at Kincaid, but missed and hanged onto the backdoor of the S.W.A.T truck. Kincaid quickly grabbed a Tanaka M870 Shotgun, and blasted off a shell. The monster lost its grip, and fell to the ground. It bounced around a bit, then charged again.
This is not my lucky day! Kincaid thought to himself.
He fired a few more shells off, but the monster hopped up, and landed on the roof. It swung its claw inside, and Kincaid jumped to the side. He fired a few shells into the ceiling.
“So when I don’t ask you to make a turn you do, but when I need you to you don’t?” Kincaid asked Thomas.
Thomas responded by stopping the car abruptly, making the creature lose its grip yet again. It fell inside the back of the truck, landing right in front of Kincaid. It looked up at Kincaid, but its face met with the shotgun. Kincaid pumped it, then a shot echoed through the air. Sadly, the Licker still had some fight left in it, and when it fell off it hanged onto, a back tire. It let go, causing the tire to go flat, and Thomas stopped the truck.
“It looks like we’re walking on foot.” Thomas said. “I’m okay with that.” Kincaid said as he hopped from the back of the truck.

The newest chapter. Sorry it's short, I have a lot to do. Chapter 5: Dawn Of The DeadThe two had just started to continue walking towards the hospital, when growls filled the air. Kincaid hid behind a car, and Thomas jumped behind him. “What was that?” Thomas asked. “They’re coming in.” Kincaid said. As soon as Kincaid finished saying that the Undead were coming, about 10 came walking from the alleys, followed by more and more, an endless wave. “No way in hell we can take them all.” Thomas said. Kincaid looked again, and realized that they would have to take them. “Load up the Rocket Launcher.” Kincaid said. Thomas nodded, but Kincaid then said, “And give me your pistol.” Thomas handed Kincaid his pistol, and the General took aim with both the pistols in each of his hands. He quickly fired off a few shots, knocking some Undead to the ground. He then put his pistol away and reloaded Thomas’s, putting it on burst. “Hurry it up!” Kincaid said. “Almost there!” Thomas yelled. The wave was getting closer, and Kincaid noticed Thomas would need way more time. “Get away from the car!” Kincaid said. Thomas responded by running back in the direction they came. Kincaid was right near him, and took aim at the car they were hiding behind gas tank. He switched to auto, and a bullet flew from his pistol, hitting the gas tank directly. An explosion then followed the hit. “How do you like your flesh? Crispy, or,” Thomas was about to say. He then held up the Rocket Launcher, and said, “BBQ’d?” Thomas took aim, but noticed that even after the car exploded, the Undead still got up, just with a few flames on them. “I don’t see any fire escape this time!” Kincaid said. Thomas was about to chuckle, but he heard a bark behind him. It looked, and saw a Doberman, its flesh rotting and blood coming from its mouth. He responded by putting the Rocket Launcher down and firing his Machine Gun at the beast. It died with a moan, and Thomas turned his attention to the army of the dead. Kincaid was still firing off round after round, and Thomas knew they would need an escape route.
