Did you even read anything on that page? It tells you exactly what the program does. I can't explain it any better than they can.

Lol, just rediscovered this. Question... Does yWriter interfere with any existing text programs such as Microsoft Office Wordpad and such?

I've never had a problem with it. I find it a really good program for when you have ideas but they aren't exactly coming together in a logical progression, but jump around. Ywriter allows you to do separate scenes, chapters, etc and then compile them together easily.
